Meet your SCRR Committee

SCRR is supported by a volunteer committee of dedicated runners and coaches.

Elizabeth Mitros

Elizabeth serves on the SCRRC Membership Committee; she volunteers her time to focus on the SCRRC newsletter. Her hobbies include tennis, lifting, baking, reading and running.  Elizabeth started running during her freshman year of college and is working on running a full or half marathon in all 50 states! She enjoys running because a long run helps clear her head and the sense of accomplishment after a good run.  Elizabeth joined SCRRC as a way to network and meet others who enjoy running; she also wants to help build a strong running community throughout Pittsburgh.

Sarah Stutts

Sarah serves on the SCRRC Membership Committee; she volunteers her time to focus on the SCRRC website. Her hobbies include hanging out with friends, volunteering, reading, being outside, going out to eat and becoming a better cook.  Sarah started running a few year ago to live a healthier lifestyle and she also had a personal goal of running a half marathon. Her favorite thing about running is the feeling of accomplishment after running a race well. She just registered for her first marathon in the spring! Sarah joined SCRRC because she loved the idea of the club and she wanted to keep herself motivated.

Shannon Hunter

Shannon serves on the SCRR committee as the social media manager, in charge of maintaining the club's Facebook and Twitter pages. Her hobbies include running, yoga, spinning, reading, and travel. She began running regularly in the summer of 2009 when she joined the No Boundaries Couch to 5K program through Fleet Feet Sports. Since the completion of that program, Shannon has completed numerous 5Ks/10Ks, 6 half marathons and 2 marathons. You can find her at almost all of the Saturday runs, usually leading a pace group as part of our mentor program.

Lauren Pinsker Kushner

Lauren serves on the SCRR committee as the special events coordinator. She plans SCRR social events including the annual banquet and holiday party. Her hobbies include running, skiing, tennis and reading Runner's World religiously.  She has been running since high school; she ran her first marathon in 2005 when she was picked for the NYC Marathon on her first lottery.  Lauren was active in the New York Road Runners when she lived there and enjoyed meeting new people. When she moved to Pittsburgh, she joined SCRRC to meet new people.

Danielle Lucas

Danielle serves on the SCRRC Training Run Committee; she volunteers her time to organize and attend club runs. Running is a top priority for Danielle; she has completed races ranging from 5Ks to 50Ks and is scheduled to run a 50-Mile in 2013.  This year, Danielle qualified for the Boston Marathon!  Danielle joined SCRRC because it was a new club in the area and it was a good opportunity to meet new people with similar interests.  Now, as a committee member, Danielle hopes to make a difference in the Pittsburgh running community.
